Refresh Bellingham is proud to host Dylan Wilbanks. Dylan will be discussing Teach Your Child Nodes Well: Helping The Next Generation Of Web Geeks (And Yourself) Build A Better Web. This December marks the 20th anniversary of WorldWideWeb, the first-ever web browser. 20 years on, though, how we learn to be good(or great) web designers and developers remains a disjointed process, one where most of us practice obsolete ideas and design patterns and may not even know it. Take a stroll through the state of web education and ask if "how we are teaching the next generation of web geeks" is actually working -- and how you can stay on the bleeding edge of the industry without bleeding out yourself.
When? Where?
Bellingham Refresh will be meeting on Wednesday, July 21st at Extremes Sports Grill. Dylan's presentation and the following Q & A will be from 6pm to 8pm. If you'd like, please join us for dinner and drinks afterward.
Please, let us know you're coming.
